How To Choose, Adjust, and Manage Your Kratom Serving Size

October 23, 2019 by LCK

When taking a botanical like kratom, there are a lot of things that you need to figure out for yourself. You need to decide what type of kratom you want to use and why you want to use it, but you also need to figure out how much kratom is best to take to get the desired effects.

Serving size is one of the most popular things for consumers to talk about with each other. The kratom community is full of different advice about what to use and when, but the simple fact is that everybody’s body is different, so you can’t always rely on what other people say.

Today, we’ll give you some tips and ideas about how to manage and alter your own serving size without doing anything too extreme. We’ll also talk about why we can’t tell you exactly what to take, and why we still think it’s important to get at least some serving size talk out there. Let’s get into it!

Beginners: How To Start Taking Kratom

When you start using kratom for the first time, you’re going to want to start with a smaller amount than an average user would take. This is important so that you can see how your body reacts to the kratom and make adjusts as needed.

We recommend starting with less than the recommended serving size. Usually, trying ½ the recommended serving of any given variety is a great way to start. If your friend uses a Green Malay variation and uses a larger amount, you’ll want to lower that amount when you are first giving it a try. Reducing your serving size will help you avoid unwanted side effects.

The amount of kratom that you end up using is completely up to you, but you will need to take time to fine-tune it. Try not to change the amount you take more than three times a month. You need to use a specific serving for a week or two to be sure of its effects, so take this into account when making your serving schedule and adjustments.

Experienced Users: Adjusting Your Serving Size

Once you’ve found your sweet spot for kratom, you might not want to make any changes. Still, it’s very likely that at some point, the kratom might not be as effective as it once was for you. There are a variety of reasons about why this might happen, but the key point is that you need to always be ready to make changes and adjust as needed.

In fact, we recommend that experienced kratom users consistently rotate amounts and strains that they are using! When you use the same amount and type of kratom for too long, it is very likely that it will start to be less effective due to the way that your body begins to be used to and expect it.

By simply rotating through a few strains that you like, you can prevent this tolerance from forming! Here’s what we suggest doing to remove any built-up tolerance:

  1. 1. Stop taking kratom all together for at least two weeks. It might seem like a long time, but it will make a big difference.
  2. 2. When you start taking it again, take only 2-3 servings per week.
  3. 3. Rotate between one strain per week.
  4. 4. Try not to overlap servings.
  5. 5. Try to not take more than one serving per day.

Those five rules may seem very simple, but they can cause a big difference in how you experience kratom going forward.

Pay Attention To Your Body

Regardless of everything that we have just talked about, there is one rule that trumps the rest of them. You need to pay attention to your body and the way that it reacts when you take kratom.

If you’re only taking ¼ of the recommended serving of something and that is still overwhelming you or causing unwanted side effects, you need to make further adjustments. Whether you change the serving size or the consumption method, your body is telling you that you need to change something.

It’s not always easy to “give up” on the amount that you think you should be taking. Remember, however, that this isn’t about accomplishing a specific serving size. There are no benefits to taking more than you need to take. On the contrary, you’ll feel better and be happier if you find the right amount for your body.

Don’t be afraid to make changes, even if that means you’re using less kratom. After all, using less will also help save you money!

Why We Can’t Tell You What To Take

You might be wondering why we haven’t given you any specific serving size to try taking. While we’d love to and we believe that we can give you some quality advice, suggesting what to take when using a product with a shaky legal status like kratom isn’t a great idea.

Our product listings may contain some suggested amounts, but putting out further literature about serving size could compromise our business. Still, we think it’s important to give as much information as possible, and that’s why we include suggested serving recommendations on our labels.

Generally speaking, most of our kratom powders start off with a recommend 2g per serving, but this is something that we believe all users should work their way up to. Using 2g as a guideline, we hope that you can find the right serving size. Some of our customers report taking up to 5g or even 8g daily.

You Call The Shots

Remember that it’s all up to you! If you think that you need to increase your serving size, that’s okay as long as you do so carefully and slowly. If you believe that you’ve used too much, you can also make the choice to lower the amount you take or even stop taking kratom altogether.

The only consequences that you need to face are from yourself, so feel free to explore different options and try out various things until you find what works for you!

Kratom’s Malaysian History: What’s Worth Knowing

October 9, 2019 by LCK

One of the coolest parts of our job here at Left Coast Kratom is to get the opportunity to learn more about kratom, where it comes from, and where it’s going. We spend a lot of time talking about the future of kratom. Will it become fully legalized? Will it be easier to obtain? How will its usage change over time?

What we often gloss over, however, is the past. Where did kratom come from, how was it used, and what can this teach us about it today? Will the future of kratom look anything like the past?

One of the most interesting areas of the world to look at when taking time to understand Kratom’s past is Malaysia. Much of the world’s kratom supply comes from Malaysia, and this has been true for more than one hundred years. Why and how did this happen?

We’ve asked a lot of unanswered questions in this introduction, but don’t worry. We’re here to answer them today! By the end of this article, you’ll know more about kratom’s history than your average user. Let’s dive into a brief history of kratom in Malaysia.

Growth: Why Malaysia Grows Kratom Prolifically

One of the things that I found myself most curious about when learning about kratom was that it grows so well in tropical areas. What was it about these areas that made it flourish, and how did Malaysia manage to have some of the best growth of all? After all, the lands that make up Malaysia have seen fertile kratom tree growth for hundreds of years.

The climate in Malaysia happens to be perfect for kratom growth. The climate is very humid, and there is a long rainy season. This means that the soil is at least somewhat wet for most of the year, and that is what kratom loves. Plus, all the soil is incredibly fertile.

These conditions are perfect for the tropical tree that can grow up to fifty, sixty, or even seventy feet tall in the right conditions. Those large trees furnish a lot of leaves, and that is how Kratom exportation is so prolific in kratom.

Legality: Is Using and Selling Kratom Okay In Malaysia?

Now that we know why kratom trees grow well in Malaysia, let’s talk about its legal status. Can kratom be bought in Malaysia? Can it be used? What do the rules say? Before we can talk about the present, we need to talk about the past.

Before 1952

Up until 1952, kratom usage, production, and sale were largely unrestricted by the government in Malaysia. While there were occasional rules and bans, the substance could be processed and used as needed.

People were using kratom, but not very regularly. Kratom was used most frequently in the northern areas that border Thailand. In these regions, people tend to work long, hard days. Using kratom provided relief and relaxation for them.

Additionally, kratom was used for ritual cultural practices. Kratom was thought to be a powerful plant-based healing tool. Brewed as a tea, it was used to restore strength to tired minds and bodies during ceremonial practices and in everyday life.

People also used kratom instead of opiates. Opiate use began booming in the 1800s, and opioid addiction skyrocketed as it became more accessible to the general public. Malaysians soon found that taking kratom tea or leaves would often prevent people from ingesting opiates.

Year: 1952

The Poisons Act of 1952 changed the way that kratom was legally viewed in Malaysia. This law forbids the use and domestic sale of kratom leaves and related substances. While there had been subtle bans in the past, this was the only complete and clear outlawing of the substance.

This law happened around the same time that many other countries in the region passed their own laws about kratom and similar substances.

Today

Today, it is illegal to take kratom in Malaysia. It is also illegal to process the leaves into other forms of the substance.

The exportation of kratom leaves, however, remains legal. As long as a farmer has the appropriate permit, they are permitted to harvest and export the leaves to other countries. This exportation has become a big money-maker in the Northern parts of Malaysia.

While it is illegal to use kratom in Malaysia, these laws are not heavily enforced. Clear information about how many people are using kratom and why they take it is hard to come by, but most seem to believe that kratom is most heavily used in rural areas where traditional rituals and ways of life are still very strong.

Looking Forward

It’s difficult to be sure of what will happen in the future of kratom legality in Malaysia. Exportation, it seems, will remain legal for many years to come as the international popularity of the substance continues to grow. Domestic usage and sale legality, however, seems more unlikely for the immediate future.

The biggest problem with knowing what will happen with kratom in Malaysia in the future is the lack of research about its uses and effects. Until scientific research can prove the safety of kratom, anecdotal evidence and horror stories continue to plague the industry.

Are My “Malay” Strains From Malaysia?

Now that you know more about the history of kratom in Malaysia, you might be wondering if the last green Malay strain that you tried came from the forests in Malaysia. While it is quite possible that the leaves were imported from Malaysia, the name alone does not guarantee that.

The names of different strains of kratom are based on the variety, chemical makeup, and processing method more than they are based on where the kratom leaves originated from. While the strain names originally denoted origin, they are now used more as an identifying tactic than anything else.

Regardless of whether or not the leaves that you’ve used have come from Malaysia, the history of kratom in Malaysia has still had a huge effect on the product that you love and use today!

5 Awesome Kratom Facts That Everyone Should Know

September 25, 2019 by LCK

After you’ve discovered the positive results of kratom in your life, it’s time to uncover some more facts about what it is, how it’s used, and other important things that you should know about this botanical!

Kratom is more than just a plant that can be ingested, and it has a much longer history that you should be aware of when you decide to use it regularly. Today, we’ll help you expand your knowledge about this great substance.

1: The Kratom Tree Is Unique

One of the coolest things about where kratom comes from is the tree itself. Kratom is a tropical tree, and it grows best when things are all wet, all the time. Kratom products are made from the leaves of the trees, and they are unique because of their distinct chemical composition.

The Kratom tree is one of seven different trees in the Mitragyna speciosa variety. The leaves of the kratom tree contain two major chemical compounds that have effects on the body: mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine.

These chemicals are known as alkaloids. Alkaloids interact with the body in specific ways; when you consume kratom, those effects start happening!

2: Kratom Has A Long And Varied History

Did you know that Kratom has been used for hundreds of years in different parts of the world? In Southeast Asia in particular, kratom has been part of many cultural rituals and traditional practices. The tropical tree is native to Thailand and Malaysia among other countries, and that is how it became a part of their practices.

In particular, Kratom is often brewed as a tea. Sometimes, it is chewed on directly for a different type of effect.

While the use of Kratom in these regions is mostly historical, kratom is still used in those traditional ways. Around the world, however, kratom leaves tend to be ground into a fine powder and then brewed into a more concentrated, effective tea. As you might already know, there are a lot of different ways to brew tea.

3: Kratom Consumption Has Changed

While the ways that we just mentioned are the traditional ways of consuming kratom, there are a lot of different ways that people consume kratom in today’s modern world. As we mentioned, people typically grind the leaves up into a fine powder. This powder can then be prepared in a few different ways.

Method #1: Tea

While a bit different from traditional brewing, this fine powder can be made into a tea. The tea must be strained appropriately and flavored to make it drinkable, but it can provide the boosting effects of the chemicals in kratom.

Method #2: Capsules

Some people prefer to skip the need to taste the kratom at all and stick to capsules. Capsules of any size can be filled with your specific serving of kratom powder. These are easy and discreet to take, no matter where you are.

Method #3: Tinctures

The powder can also be made into a very strong tincture. This tincture can then be used mixed into other beverages or taken directly.

The particular method that you use to take kratom is going to depend on how much you want to take, what you are hoping to accomplish, and how your body processes things. Everybody’s body is different, so taking the time to try different amounts and intake methods is very important for personal discovery.

4: Kratom Has An Interesting Legal Status

Right now in the United States, Kratom is not illegal. However, it wouldn’t be accurate to call it legal either. It’s true that you wouldn’t get into trouble for using it, but the status of it is somewhat complicated.

Due to difficult reports and manufacturing problems, some believe that Kratom should be completely banned in the USA. The FDA, in fact, has been making a clear and concentrated effort to support this movement. Thankfully, many states are making their own judgments and passing regulatory protections for kratom consumers.

Why has this happened?

The main reason that kratom has not yet been put into a positive light as CBD has been that there isn’t enough research yet about the benefits of kratom. The research is so limited that it is difficult to prove once and for all that kratom is not dangerous. Without any regulation to keep bad kratom off the market, the problem isn’t improving quickly enough.

Hopefully, individual states will continue to support the movement to fully legalize kratom and to protect its consumers with basic regulations. These regulations, though simple, can save people’s lives by keeping bad kratom under control as soon as possible.

5: Kratom Needs Your Help

Due to the complicated legal status of kratom in America, kratom needs your help! If you have ever been curious about trying kratom or already use it, it is time to step into the ring and help fight for the safety of kratom users everywhere.

While we do our best to ensure that every product that we put it out is the highest quality, not all vendors hold themselves to the same standards that we do. We’ve learned through the years, and we are doing our best to ensure that only the highest quality kratom makes it to the market.

To further our mission to keep kratom safe and legal, we’ve put our full support behind the American Kratom Association. Also known as AKA, this group works tirelessly to create guidelines for companies to follow while also working directly with politicians in each state to pass laws protecting the kratom community.

With swift and positive actions like these, we believe that kratom will one day be a safe and accepted substance. But that won’t happen without the support of people like you!

If you believe that more research should be done about kratom so that it can become a safer product, reach out to your local kratom stores or politicians and find out how you can make this opinion help. Together, we can secure the future of kratom!

How To Make Kratom Tea

Before we get into the different ways that you can adjust the tea to taste better, we need to tell you how to make tea! While we have a full guide on brewing Kratom tea, this short review can serve as a reminder for what you should be doing when you make your tea.

  1. 1. Gather a pot, a liter of water, Kratom tea powder, and some type of strainer. We prefer to use cheesecloth, but a mesh strainer can work well, too.
  2. 2. Bring water to a full boil. Then, lower the heat.
  3. 3. Allow the water to cool down after boiling for around three minutes.
  4. 4. Add your Kratom leaves. The batch size is up to you!
  5. 5. Allow the water to remain at a simmer, and let your tea simmer for around twenty minutes.
  6. 6. Use your preferred strainer to get the Kratom leaves out of your tea once it is done simmering.

You can then drink the tea hot, or allow it to cool and refrigerate it for up to five days. Preparing Kratom tea in larger batches like this in advance will allow you to save time when you want to consume daily. Otherwise, you will need to go through this entire process every day!

Different Flavor Profiles

There are a lot of different ways that you can change up how you drink your Kratom tea for here. Few people will want to drink Kratom straight as it was just prepared; most will want to add at least some type of sweetener. Today, we’ve rounded up a number of great suggestions that you can use to make Kratom tea taste better!

Add Flavored Milk

How do you like to drink your tea or coffee? Do you add milk and sweetener? Many people add flavored creams or milk to their morning beverages to make it taste better, and the same can be done with Kratom.

Adding a sweetened milk beverage component such as vanilla almond milk is a great way to completely change the flavor profile that Kratom tea offers. It is sweet and milky, and these two aspects help to cut through the natural earthiness of Kratom quite well.

If almond milk isn’t your thing, there are a lot of other options:

  • Any flavored dairy creamer
  • Flavored soy milk
  • Flavored oat milk
  • Straight milk if you are avoiding sugar

We suggest almond milk as the top choice among these options not only because it makes the drink smoother but also because it is an alkaline beverage. This helps it line up with the chemical composition of Kratom very well.

Try It Citrus-y and Sweet

Another very common way to enjoy Kratom tea is to add a sweetener such as honey and sugar as well as lemon. As mentioned above, Kratom has a very rich, earthy flavor. This flavor can be too heavy for many people.

The citrus from lemon juice can, however, cut through that darkness. The honey or sugar can make the tea taste sweeter overall and eliminate even more of those earthy flavors. When adding sugar, it is best to start with a spoonful per 12-ounce cup and add more as needed.

There are other benefits to using lemon in your Kratom tea, especially if you’ll be storing it to use throughout the week! The citric acid in lemon can help to ensure that the alkaline content of the tea doesn’t break down too much while in storage, so it is an especially great thing to add to your tea.

Lemon isn’t the only citrus that can be used in this way! You can also use orange or grapefruit juice instead if you want to try a different flavor profile instead of lemon.

Mix With Another Tea

Another way that you can enjoy Kratom tea more is if you try to combine it with a sweet or fruity tea that will help to balance out the earthy taste of Kratom. We recommend brewing them separately and then experimenting with the ratios of tea-to-tea to figure out what works for you.

Some of our favorite teas to try with Kratom include:

  • Raspberry tea
  • Green, citrus tea
  • Flavored teas (vanilla, chai, etc.)
  • Fruity teas
  • Sweetened tea
  • Tea lemonades

When brewing tea to mix with Kratom tea, we recommend that you use twice the number of tea bags that you would normally use. This will help you to create a more concentrated flavor. More intense flavors will be more effective at balancing the strong flavor of Kratom tea.

Just Add A Syrup!

Finally, there’s one more easy way to change up the flavor of your Kratom tea. Just add a few pumps of your favorite flavor via a simple syrup! You can find these syrups at many stores as they are often used for flavoring coffee and tea at home. Using a little bit to Kratom tea is sure to work wonders as well!

Stick to similar profiles as the teas listed about: sweet and fruity flavors are going to be the most effective at helping to make Kratom tea more palatable to you.

The Truth About Growing Your Own Kratom: Does It Work?

September 4, 2019 by LCK

Many people who decide to make Kratom a regular part of their lives are industrious go-getters, and these attributes are only further extended by the stimulation and power that Kratom can often help you find.

This combination leads many people – maybe even you – to want to find a more personal way to get their Kratom supply. Kratom is a plant, after all, and that means that you should be able to grow it at home, right?

Yes and no. There’s a lot of factors that come into play when you are thinking about if you can grow your own Kratom supply or not, and whether or not growing the plant itself will be enough to supply you is another story completely.

Let’s talk about growing Kratom, whether or not that’s a reasonable choice for you, and what we recommend that you do.

Where Does Kratom Grow Naturally?

In the wild, Kratom is native to regions that are hot and, in most cases, tropical latitudes. The conditions in these regions make for the best Kratom growth, and that is why the tree species has flourished here for hundreds of years.

In particular, Kratom trees can be found naturally in the following areas:

  • • Sumatra
  • • Indonesia
  • • Bali
  • • Thailand
  • • Philippines
  • • Malaysia
  • • Papua New Guinea
  • • Myanmar

All of these areas have some regions where the tree can grow easily, and the seeds from these trees even propagate themselves because the conditions are just that favorable! When trying to grow Kratom outside of these regions, however, the same luck is not easily found!

Banner For Shopping

What Conditions Does Kratom Need?

What about these regions makes the area great for growing Kratom? Let’s talk a bit more about the specific growing conditions that Kratom needs to thrive so that you can get an idea of what type of climate you will need to replicate in order to get the best results possible.

These areas are hot and humid. The soil there is very fertile with a usual pH falling somewhere between 5.5 and 6.5.

Additionally, the soil should also have high levels of humus to ensure proper and sturdy growth. The soil also has to be able to retain a lot of moisture without being too boggy. The soil should have good drainage without sucking all moisture out. Too much moisture can lead to bugs and fungi.

Finally, you need the right amount of light and humidity. There are different amounts of light that Kratom can thrive in, but generally, strong light is necessary. For humidity, the area should likely be between 70 and 80 percent humidity on average for the best growth. These conditions are not common in the United States but may be able to be replicated in large, outdoor greenhouses.

Can I Get Kratom Seeds?

Another aspect that can be very difficult when trying to grow Kratom yourself is getting a seed or cutting to actually take! Even if you manage to get the right soil, temperature, and watering schedule in order, the trees might not even start growing.

Both Kratom seeds and cuttings are available to plant, but both of these have very limited viability periods. This means that if they are not planted quickly enough, they are unlikely to ever sprout or grow. They will need to be very fresh in order to be successful at growing your own Kratom.

When you order Kratom seeds, make sure that you get a lot of them as they are very small seeds that have an incredibly low germination rate. The best way to find any success or growth is to plant a lot of these seeds and hope that at least some of them take root!

Once They Take Root

If you manage to get some of your Kratom seeds to take root, congratulations! Now, the real work begins. The plants need to be given light, but not too much light. The same goes for water. The plant should be watered liberally, but keep an eye out for fungus along the way.

Another important thing to keep in mind is that the tree needs to be in somewhat natural conditions to its native habitat while growing for the best final Kratom product. It’s been shown that Kratom is more powerful when it has grown in windy conditions, so simulating this is a must.

From Plant To You

If you are lucky enough to get a tree that grows strong enough to create flowers and leaves, you’ll want to know what has to be done in order to use these leaves in the same way that you would when you buy your favorite product.

It can take up to two years for a Kratom plant to reach maturity. A tree of about 20 feet will be ready to be harvested. To harvest, you usually want to take the leaves right before they would drop on their own. Late summer and early autumn are good times for harvesting.

While the tree’s leaves can be used as-is at this point, most Kratom users are accustomed to using specialty blends and dried leaves. You can dry the leaves in different conditions to try out making your own strains, but you will want to be careful to monitor all of the leaves closely for mold and fungi.

The Better Option

While we completely agree that the ability to grow your own Kratom and create specialty strains to enjoy would be a lot of fun, we also aren’t quite sure if the effort required to do so successfully would actually be worth it!

In most cases, it’s probably a lot more practical to continue to buy strains of Kratom from reputable sellers like us here at Left Coast Kratom. We can tell you exactly what you’re getting, what kind of chemical composition to expect, and how you can best use your products.

If you try to get Kratom from homegrown trees, it could take years before you even see any type of payoff, and you might not even have any trees survive that long! Rather than waste your precious time, energy, and money, we recommend that you stick to purchasing your Kratom; find another way to use that green thumb!

Batch Guide: How To Make Kratom Tea

August 28, 2019 by LCK

Once you’ve decided that you want to give Kratom a try, you will have to choose what type of consumption method you want to use. While many beginners stick to liquid extracts or capsules for the ease of use, veterans of Kratom enjoy experimenting with different varieties of tea powders and tea brewing methods to spice up their tea.

Making Kratom tea, as hard as it may seem at first, isn’t actually any harder than making any other tea! The main thing that should concern you is whether or not you enjoy the final product so that you can adjust your brewing method until you get it just right.

While you will ultimately need to make personalized adjustments to your tea brewing method to suit your own needs, we are going to share our favorite methodologies for brewing Kratom tea. Use these methods as a starting point, and then get creative from there.

Beginner Notes

Before we get into the methodology of brewing your own Kratom tea, allow us to share a few important tips and tricks that will help to ensure that you get it right from the start.

  • • Do not mix Kratom tea powder with boiling water.
Adding Kratom powder to a rolling boil is going to destroy a lot of the powders natural alkaloid content, and that is the main benefit of using Kratom. Instead, allow boiling water to cool for a minute before you start the brewing steps or add the powder when the water is just starting to simmer instead of boil. Trust us on this one!

  • • Try adding citrus juice.
It’s been suggested that adding something acidic such as the juice of a lemon to your tea will help to keep the alkaloids from being released during the brewing process. Doing this regularly will keep your tea brewing more consistent between batches.

  • • Only keep your tea for up to five days.
It can be tempting to try to brew a huge batch of Kratom tea to last you for a few weeks, but the simple truth is that the powers of the Kratom will not be able to stand up to that long in the refrigerator. Instead, plan only in five-day batches.

  • • Longer gets stronger.
The longer you boil your Kratom tea, the stronger the flavor will become. Kratom is naturally quite bitter, so keep this in mind as you experiment with your tea taste.

  • • Everyone’s body differs.
While we suggest that everyone start with no more than one or two grams of Kratom tea powder per cup, everyone’s body is different. You will need to monitor your body’s reactions to Kratom to determine the best serving size for your body.

Method #1: In A Pot

Making Kratom tea in a pot on the stove is a great way to make a larger batch that you can share with friends or store for up to five days in the refrigerator to enjoy later. It’s pretty easy to do as well!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • • Large pot
  • • 1 liter of water
  • • Kratom tea powder
  • • Cheesecloth or a mesh strainer

Here’s what to do to prepare your tea:

  1. 1. Put the water in the pot and boil it.

  1. 2. Lower the heat and allow it to cool down from the boil for at least two minutes.

  1. 3. Add the appropriate amount of Kratom tea powder or leaves for your own needs to the water.

  1. 4. Simmer for up to 20 minutes. Adjust the length according to your personal taste and needs.

  1. 5. After simmering, use either the cheesecloth or mesh strainer to remove the tea leaves.

  1. 6. If you were using a powder, allow the powder to settle to the bottom and then pour off the liquid that settles on top.

Once you have this tea concentrate ready, you can then prepare yourself a cup of tea! We recommend mixing the tea with a citrus juice or adding a sweetener like honey, agave, or maple syrup to the tea to drink it. Of course, the taste of Kratom is quite powerful. Chugging it is going to be easier than trying to sip it!

Method #2: Tea Pot

Like standard teas, you can make Kratom tea from powder or leaves in a teapot as well. This is a great method when you want to enjoy it immediately and don’t need to make a large batch that can be used for a few days.

Overall, this method is probably the simplest to do, but it doesn’t differ much from the large batch method except in the container that you use to boil the tea.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • • Teapot
  • • Water
  • • Kratom tea powder or leaves
  • • Tea bags or a mesh tea strainer

And here’s what to do:

  1. 1. Add the wanted amount of Kratom tea powder or leave into a tea bag or mesh strainer. If using a strainer, we recommend sticking to Kratom tea leaves for a cleaner final product.

  1. 2. Boil water in your teapot. Allow it to cool off slightly.

  1. 3. Put your tea bag or mesh strainer into your mug.

  1. 4. Add water.

  1. 5. Steep for anywhere from five to twenty minutes depending on the strain, your taste, and your patience! Ultimately, you can stop it whenever you want.

Adding a slice of lemon and some sugar or honey to tea prepared this way is a great way to improve the flavor of your mug of Kratom tea. If you would prefer to have this iced, add any desired sweeteners to the tea while hot. Then, pour the tea over ice or store it in the fridge overnight to enjoy the next day!
